How to Use Markdown ⇆ HTML Converter

Getting Started

This tool converts between Markdown and HTML in real-time with support for extended tags:

Markdown → HTML: Type Markdown on the left, see styled HTML on the right
HTML → Markdown: Paste HTML on the left, see the converted Markdown (as plain text) on the right
Auto-detection: Automatically detects whether input is Markdown or HTML
Force mode: Use the "switch direction" button to override auto-detection

Supported Features

Headings: H1 to H6 (# to ######)
Lists: Ordered (1., 2.) and unordered (-, *, +)
Tables: Full GFM table support
Code blocks: Fenced with language hint
Blockquotes: > for quotes (beautifully styled)
Extended HTML5 tags: details, summary, progress, meter, time, mark, kbd, dl, dt, dd, ruby, bdi, and more

Example Buttons

Use the example buttons to see different formats:

HTML Example: Shows complex HTML - preview will show converted Markdown
Markdown Example: Shows rich Markdown - preview will show rendered HTML

Export Options

Copy Result: Copies the converted content to clipboard
Export as HTML: Downloads a complete styled HTML file (from Markdown input)
Export as Markdown: Downloads the Markdown version (.md file) (from HTML input)

Change Theme

Use the theme toggle in the header to switch between light and dark mode. Your preference is saved.
