Welcome to the day three of testing blogging consistency.

Yesterday there was some movement in traffic received. While it skyrocketed yesterday (if looking the percentage of growth), today it was not the case. Traffic has dropped by almost  2/3rds. This was expected as yesterdays sudden jump might be a result of accidental link share in a group chat on Facebook. Will try to avoid such incidents, but on the other hand its an opportunity to get traffic that shouldn’t miss.

Either way the numbers for today are:

  • Visitors: 9
  • Searches: 0

What this means. Drop in traffic certainly! -62.5% less visitors. 67.6% drop in number of views. This was inevitable because of the yesterday social share. Good thing in whole story is both visitors/views stats are quite symmetric which indices there was no tapping and no interventions in the acquired traffic.

No search engine traffic today. Not to worry about that, as it is as usual. With more content (and keywords) this is going to improve. For now, 0-1 or maybe 2 visits from search engines is in the range of expectation.

Lets check the SEO metrics.

MOZ stats:

Ads by: ⓘ Random Ads

  • DA (Domain Authority): 10
  • PA (Page Authority): 15
  • TB (Total Backlinks): 44

No changes here at all. Its OK for now.

AHREFS:

  • DR (Domain Rating): 8
  • Backlinks: 101 (68% dofollow)
  • linking websites: 29

Following stats just confirmed that AHREFS update faster then MOZ.

There is some change here. One backlink more then yesterday. Wow! Its time to celebrate!

Not really. Since starting this mini project of testing blogging consistency in the plan of action link building was included and executed from day one. Relevant comments were placed on dozen of websites and blogs. Would they’ll be approved or not is up to the site owners and webmasters.

And yesterday one backlink more from a unique domain! The strategy works.

day 3 of testing blogging consistency

Yesterday, seven new comments were placed on 7 different websites/domains. Will keep on with the commenting pace till the end of this blogging consistency test. Commenting is cost effective and almost free. Need time to find websites that accepts comments and write a few sentences there while trying to place a link to an article of your site or to the homepage itself. Things will be easier if you have a list and fortunately we have one although it is not filtered and have to check the sites manually.

Nonetheless:

Commenting is free and cost effective way to acquire a backlink

Don’t be afraid to use this technique. It might not be the most effective and even may not bring any traffic at all but it is free. A link is a link even if it is nofollow and doesn’t bring visitors it counts in SEO.

Main keyword check

On day 3 of testing blogging consistency we’ve tried checking the search engine ranking for “our main keyword“. It is obvious what the main keyword is. Isn’t it?

Not surprisingly, our article is there! On the page 2 of the SERP since Google decided to show results in numbered pages as always after a couple of months experimenting with an infinite scroll. Where is the page ranking if there are no pages, just one single page!?
