There are moments when boredom drives us to rediscover hidden treasures from our past. Today, I found myself sifting through old forgotten folders on an even older laptop, aimlessly searching for something to pass the time. Amid the digital dust of forgotten folders and files inside I stumbled upon the source materials for a creative project I had long since shelved. Fueled by a mix of nostalgia and sheer boredom I decided to breathe new life into these files by crafting a live wallpaper.

Sometimes creativity emerges from the most unexpected sources, and boredom,= often seen as an enemy of productivity can lead to the rediscovery of forgotten passions. This is precisely what happened to me on a particularly uneventful day when I found myself digging through old forgotten folders on a laptop that had seen better days. I wasn’t looking for anything in particular.  Just wasting time trying to escape the monotony that seemed to linger like a heavy fog in this hot as hell day today.

Little did I know that this mundane activity would lead to the creation of a live wallpaper that has once evolved into an NFT collection never to be minted.

As I scrolled through the digital debris of years gone by I’ve stumbled upon a collection of source files and images that instantly took me back in time.

These were remnants of a project I had once been deeply passionate about – a creative endeavor that had been sidelined by the demands of everyday life. Seeing those files in an old forgotten folder once again was like finding an old sketchbook filled with half finished drawings, each one a fragment of an idea that had once burned brightly in my mind.

The files carried with them the spark of creativity that had once driven me to bring those ideas to life. I felt a strange mix of nostalgia and inspiration as I browsed through the forgotten folders while memories were flooding back with each click. It was as if the universe was nudging me, telling me that these files were not meant to be forgotten, that there was still something there waiting to be realized.

Driven by this newfound sense of purpose I’ve decided to revisit the project with fresh eyes. What started as a simple attempt to pass the time quickly turned into a fully fledged creative session. I began reworking the files, tweaking the designs, and adding new elements to breathe life into the old concepts. It was a therapeutic process of a kind. Each adjustment and refinement felt like a step towards reclaiming a part of myself that had been lost in the shuffle of life.

It was a really simple collection of randomly generated circles. Simple stupid circles aimed to be turned into a NFT collection but never came to that step even I’ve made some attempts before.

Even made GIF animations combining some of them.

Stupid simple circles

As the hours passed, the pieces began to come together. The project that had once been abandoned was now taking a new form, one that reflected both my past aspirations and my current perspective. The result was a live wallpaper that I was genuinely proud of. Something that is not just visually appealing, but also a symbol of the creative journey I had been on.

This live wallpaper however was more than just a personal project. It is something I want to share with others to allow them to experience the same sense of wonder and creativity that had inspired me. I decided to make the live wallpaper available for download on my blog,  TikTok, and other social profiles where anyone could download it and make it their own.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with people expressing their appreciation for the design and the story behind it. But that is another story to be confirmed yet!

The journey didn’t end there. As I continued to refine and expand on the original designs, I realized that these creations had the potential to be more than just digital wallpapers. They could be part of something larger, something that could connect with people on a deeper level.

That’s when the original idea of turning them into an NFT collection at the first place. But they are not offered to sale as a ordinary PFPs but as a set of 100s really stupid simple circles you can use in your projects, print as stickers, use on t-shirt designs or anyway you want to.

The concept of creating digital art that could be owned and traded on a blockchain was fascinating and it felt like the perfect next step for my project then. The more I thought about it, the more excited I became about the possibilities. These designs together with many others started as mere distractions from boredom, have evolved into something that could be appreciated by a global audience.

The world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) had always intrigued me and I’ve seriously jumped in (in the time of Covid).

Now, these NFT collections are live and available for purchase on platforms like OpenSea. Each item in the collection tells a story, not just of its creation, but of the serendipitous journey that brought it to life. I’m thrilled to share these pieces with the world.

For those who are interested in owning a part of this story, some of these NFTs are also available for purchase. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or someone new to the world of digital art, I believe there’s something for everyone. And who knows? Maybe one of these pieces will inspire someone else to dig through their own long forgotten folders and rediscover the creativity that lies within.

In the end, what began as an attempt to simply kill the time turned into a deeply fulfilling creative process that has led to something tangible, something that others can enjoy and appreciate.

It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful projects come from the most unexpected places. So the next time you find yourself bored, don’t just sit there – explore, create, and see where the journey takes you. You never know what you might find.

I’ve found my old nft collections in a forgotten folder, pick some files and create a slideshow of it. Then convert it into a video and export in 4K. Check it on my social profiles and download it from this blog.

You can check out this creation on my blog or TikTok. And if you’re interested in owning a piece of this rekindled inspiration I’m also selling my NFT collection. Each piece like the one featured here on OpenSea carries with it a fragment of that serendipitous moment – a blend of past creativity and present innovation.

Who knew that browsing old forgotten folders could lead to something so unexpectedly fulfilling!
