This the day 4 of testing posting consistency.

Traffic stats for today report are:

  • Visitors: 12
  • Searches: 0

There is some growth there. Not much but traffic seems to increased since yesterday. + 33.3% more visitors. And whooping +690% increase in number of views. This means visitors had seen more then one page. That’s great!

As the numbers speaks on average every visitor has viewer 6.3 pages. And spent more time on this blog then previously. This is great also because it decrease the bounce rate.

What is Bounce rate

A kind of visitors/views ratio. If one visitor visits only one page on a website, e.g comes and leaves the bounce rate is 100%. This is same as the exit rate. If visitors come and visit a page and then navigate and visit another page / post on your blog the bounce rate will decrease. In our case visitor/views ratio is 12/76.

The bounce rate is not actually measured by the current built in wordpress analytics plugin as it only counts visitor and views only together with IP and country info where visitors came from. It is not wrong to assume that bounce rate has dropped but nonconfirmed either. None the less it is some positive movement and it is better then no movement at all.

Lets check the SEO metrics.

Link building summary

We had been busy yesterday testing posting consistency, but also link building.

Have acquired 9 new websites that accept comments and commented on relevant posts there, placing a backlink to our homepage in the signature or in the comment body (not at both). We don’t SPAM. Nobody does it (intentionally). It will take a few days to get some approved.

day 4 of testing blog posting consistency

While searching for sites that accept comment, have found one with an article about web statistics and number of live domains and websites on the internet. Great article, well written with a ton of data well researched and well presented. But, it has a flow – there was a mistake.

Author unintentionally made a mistake writing number of web hosting providers instead of number of web sites. This was a great opportunity to get a backlink. Have placed a comment notifying the author about the miss spelling and bellow that write the  comment about their article (together with a link to our blog in bio). This is a great technique. You help a webmaster and as an act of gratitude get a link back (even form a comment).

As said, we’ve been busy yesterday. And a bit lucky.

Had laded on a blog directory site and get a reciprocal link from there. Reciprocal links means we place link to their site and they link back to ours.

Had written an article in an article directory. With a link to one of our posts. Hopefully this backlink will drive some traffic in time.

Done something more but that is a subject for some future post.
