Welcome to the 7 days overview of this blog posting consistency test.

After two days of just not posting anything, we are back again.

Lets go with the traffic stats first:

Day 6:

  • Visitors: 4
  • Searches: 0

Drop in traffic once again.

Day 7:

  • Visitors: 4
  • Searches: 1

No movement here in number of visitors while a bit better visitor/view ratio. Oh, there was one visit that came from Google.

Overall, nothing is changing in the traffic stats so far.

SEO stats are a different story

Seems commenting and directory submissions in order to acquire backlinks are giving results.

On day 6, MOZ metrics says:

  • DA (Domain Authority): 10
  • PA (Page Authority): 15
  • TB (Total Backlinks): 44

Same as previous day.

On day 7, MOZ has updated the stats and there is a visible improvement here:

  • DA (Domain Authority): 10
  • PA (Page Authority): 16
  • TB (Total Backlinks): 54

Ten new backlinks were added to the stats. This improved Page Authority by 1 score 16/100. Not a great difference but think we are on a good path.

AHREFS statistics say a bit different, but improvement is visible here also:

On day 6:

  • DR (Domain Rating): 9
  • Backlinks: 105 (68% dofollow)
  • Linking websites: 31

Three more backlinks, one website more and one place jump resulting in Page Ranking 9.

On day 7 stats are even better:

  • DR (Domain Rating): 9
  • Backlinks: 113 (64% dofollow)
  • Linking websites: 33

Eight new backlinks from two more new websites. Percentage of dofollow incoming links dropped a bit as a result of the 3rd party commenting systems used on the websites we’ve managed to post comments and those comments have been approved.

Third party commenting systems usually approve comments by default if moderator don’t decide otherwise. This is why commenting is a backlink method that works. On the other hand don’t expect traffic from your comments on other blogs. You may get one or 2 but that would be all.

If want traffic concentrate on social media

Social media will drive traffic instantly when you share your post there. It will not last long and will have to repost or share once again there, but hey, how many social media sites are out there? 5,10,20,100. Much more. One of the most used social sharing plugins have a list of some 300 on their homepage, but the number doesn’t stop there. Not even close.

Days 6 and & 7 of blog posting consistency

You can start your own community social network you know. There are sites that offer this service and also free open source scripts you can install on your domain and server.

Some social media even pay their members for posting content there. Yes! There are few that does that. If you build a good followers base you can earn from your posts on daily basis. Guess that!

But… social media is not the only way to drive traffic. There a few more:

  • SEM – Search Engine Marketing. SEO is just a part of it – the part that doesn’t involve paid marketing
  • Email marketing. Gathering subscribers in order to send them emails with updates about your content and products
  • Generated Bot traffic. Completely black hat just to know and avoid

It is enough for this post and we don’t want to reveal all the secrets at once either nonconfirmed.
